THE UNEMPLOYMENT CHANNEL™ is owned and operated by The Unemployment Channel, LLC, an Illinois limited liability company headquartered in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, solely to provide a medium for television and/or on-line video broadcasting of personal job qualifications and requirements for unemployed and underemployed individuals seeking new employment. THE UNEMPLOYMENT CHANNEL™ is not an employment agency and does not recruit employees for others and does not place employees with employers.

Each prospective employee using THE UNEMPLOYMENT CHANNEL™ is solely responsible for the truthfulness and accuracy of its own video clip, and is responsible for conducting its own diligent inquiry and research into the appropriateness of any job offers such person may receive and the legitimacy and background of persons making offers of employment. Likewise, prospective employers are solely responsible for the truthfulness and accuracy of their own job offerings, and are solely responsible for conducting their own diligent inquiry and research into the qualifications, background and appropriateness for employment of any job applicant.

THE UNEMPLOYMENT CHANNEL™ does NOT conduct background checks or personal information interviews to verify the accuracy of information contained in video clips, and does not verify the identity of job applicants or employers. THE UNEMPLOYMENT CHANNEL™ expressly disclaims liability for wrongful conduct and misrepresentations made by others.

As with all public communication which includes personal information, APPROPRIATE CAUTION IS URGED. You may wish to consider utilizing a web based email address that protects your identity, such as gmail.com, hotmail.com, aol.com or other similar service. It may be useful to establish an email address for this purpose using a contact name such as “jilltheplanner@_______.com, or other easy to remember email address that does not disclose more information than you initially desire to make public. Likewise, you may wish to initially limit identification of your location by identifying yourself as being within a general geographic location such as Chicago, IL or Upstate New York, or the Los Angeles area to protect your identity and exact location. REMEMBER: SAFETY FIRST!

THE UNEMPLOYMENT CHANNEL™ reserves the right to remove, reject or block any video clip, content or advertisement that THE UNEMPLOYMENT CHANNEL™ determines, in its sole and absolute discretion, is distasteful, inappropriate, or otherwise inconsistent with the type and quality of image and reputation THE UNEMPLOYMENT CHANNEL™ wishes to project. Any time THE UNEMPLOYMENT CHANNEL™ suspects that a video clip, advertisement or other content promotes unlawful or immoral conduct, THE UNEMPLOYMENT CHANNEL™ reserves the absolute and unconditional right (but not the obligation) to remove, block or reject the same in its sole and absolute discretion, without refund and without recourse. The decision of THE UNEMPLOYMENT CHANNEL™ management as to whether to remove, reject or block any video, content or advertisement is final and not subject to review or repeal.

Any disputes or claims involving THE UNEMPLOYMENT CHANNEL™ or its use or responsibilities shall be brought and adjudicated only in a court sitting in Cook County, Illinois, and all such disputes or claims shall be governed by State or Federal substantive laws applicable in the State of Illinois without giving effect to any choice of law principles that would impose the laws or rules of another jurisdiction.

USE OF THE UNEMPLOYMENT CHANNEL SHALL BE DEEMED TO CONSTITUTE ACCEPTANCE OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS DISCLOSURE AND DISCLAIMER.

However, THE UNEMPLOYMENT CHANNEL™ reserves the right to review materials posted to a Communication Service and to remove any materials in its sole discretion. THE UNEMPLOYMENT CHANNEL™ reserves the right to terminate your access to any or all of the Communication Services at any time without notice for any reason whatsoever.

THE UNEMPLOYMENT CHANNEL™ reserves the right at all times to disclose any information as necessary to satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request, or to edit, refuse to post or to remove any information or materials, in whole or in part, in THE UNEMPLOYMENT CHANNEL™'s sole discretion.

TERMINATION/ACCESS RESTRICTION

GENERAL To the maximum extent permitted by law, this agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Washington, U.S.A. and you hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of courts in King County, Washington, U.S.A. in all disputes arising out of or relating to the use of the THE UNEMPLOYMENT CHANNEL™ Web Site. Use of the THE UNEMPLOYMENT CHANNEL™ Web Site is unauthorized in any jurisdiction that does not give effect to all provisions of these terms and conditions, including without limitation this paragraph. You agree that no joint venture, partnership, employment, or agency relationship exists between you and THE UNEMPLOYMENT CHANNEL™ as a result of this agreement or use of the THE UNEMPLOYMENT CHANNEL™ Web Site.
